To the Administration and Management of RV University,

We, the student body, are writing this petition to express our collective outrage and deep-seated distress regarding the current security protocols enforced during semester-end examinations. While we acknowledge the university’s responsibility to prevent Unfair Means (UFM), the methods currently employed have devolved into systemic physical harassment.

The Violation of Personal Boundaries Security procedures at RV University have crossed an unacceptable line. Students are being subjected to manual, contact-based frisking that involves guards touching the torso, chest, back, and waist. This is not "security"—it is an invasive violation of our bodily autonomy.

• For Example: During recent entries to the exam hall, security personnel have been observed using their hands to feel around students' waistlines and backs instead of using non-contact technology. This level of inappropriate touching, often conducted in crowded, open areas, strips students of their dignity and leaves them feeling violated just moments before they must focus on their academic performance.

Proportionality and Professional Standards Physical pat-downs of this nature are disproportionate for a university setting and are inconsistent with standard examination practices globally. The use of manual touching to find "unfair means" is a lazy and archaic substitute for professional security.

• The Difference: A professional institution relies on technology—such as Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD) or Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMD)—to ensure integrity. By choosing manual frisking over these non-intrusive measures, the university is prioritizing a cheap solution over the safety and mental well-being of its students.

Our Demands We demand that RV University management immediately transitions to a "Zero-Contact" security policy. Security must be maintained through:

• The immediate deployment of metal detector wands at all entry points.
• A total ban on security personnel placing their hands on students' bodies.
• Ensuring that any necessary secondary checks are conducted with strict adherence to privacy and student rights.                                       

Examination integrity can and must be maintained without subjecting students to humiliating and harassing procedures. We will not accept a campus environment where our bodies are treated with such blatant disrespect.
