Our school is refusing to let us out of school even though there is roughly 18 cases in Tennessee and that is only the people that is strictly showing the signs and has been accepted. In school we encounter 5,000+ kids a day. In the classroom we will sit with about 20+ kids in about 7 different periods. In the hallways we will end up being extremely close to about 300 kids. Our schools spring break is scheduled to be the week of March 30th. Why don’t we just get out this week and then we can see how bad it is when we come back from spring break. I feel like the Rutherford county system is endangering many kids and also the teachers. A lot of the teachers at my school are 50+ and some of them have very bad immune systems. Also some of the children have very bad immune systems and could get the sickness as well. If we stay home then we will not have a chance of getting sick. Rutherford county claims that they are waiting for a case to come up in our county but forcing us to go to school does not help the situation. There are parents that make their children go to school even if they are sick. Some people have perfect attendance and don’t want to break it. Please! Don’t make these parents and children even or teachers get sick just because the Rutherford county wouldn’t let us out!
