Today (June, 25th) I heard back from the Office of the Chancellor. As many of us already know, Chancellor Haddon will be leaving the position of Chancellor next month and Dr. Margaret Marsh will be assuming the position of Interim Chancellor. In the next few weeks, Dr. Marsh intends to create a “campus-wide committee” to address many of our concerns. 

Chancellor Haddon: “Please be assured of this: the fact that a process is being created for these conversations does not mean that these concerns are being ignored or minimized.” 

I am going to keep the petition up because RUC has over 6,500 students and the petition has a little under 2,000 signatures. 

Additionally, if you find an issue with something at school in regards to social justice or equity on campus I think now would be the best time to bring it up (bc they’re opening a committee).
