Thank you for all your help so far.
Despite everything, the planning officer is recommending APPROVAL and the decision will be taken at the planning committee meeting next Wednesday 21st February.
IF YOU CAN, PLEASE JOIN US AT THE TOWN HALL FOR THE MEETING AND SHOW THE COUNCIL WE MEAN BUSINESS.
If you live in Rugby please contact your councillor and members of the planning committee to let them know you oppose this plan and ask them to oppose it too.
The recommendation dismisses both the threat to existing rural jobs and the concerns of local businesses like the riding school and rare breed farms. It ignores the amenity and landscape value of the area, something which organisations like CPRE value but Rugby doesn't.
And the planning process pays no heed at all to the animals - that, the report says, is someone else's problem! (the Environment Agency to be precise).
Please help us carry on fighting to save this site !
You can download the agenda for the meeting. It contains the report.
