We the users of Coventry Stadium have decided to put up this petition in order to stop the closure of the current site of Coventry Stadium for the use of oval motorsports. Home of the Coventry Bees Speedway Team, BriSCA Formula One Stockcars, V8 Hotstox, BriSCA Ministox, Saloon Stox, Bangers, and many other forms of oval motorsports. We believe that the closure of the stadium would lead to a devestating loss to the thousands of local community and national community of oval motorsport who currently use the stadium - not to mention the other people using the facilities for non-Motorsport purposes. This will also create a large hole in the leisure community in and around the Coventry area as well as further afield. The Stadium is the oldest surviving speedway and stockcar shale oval circuit and as such should be preserved as a National Heritage site and not lost forever...
