Walmart is one of the largest employers not only in the United States, but the world with $405 billion in annual revenue. 90% of Americans live within 15 minutes of a Walmart store. Sadly, they are not good neighbors.
- Almost two-thirds of Walmart employees earn less than $25,000 a year.
- The average Walmart employee makes just $8.81 per hour, less than $15,000 annually.
- Walmart has killed almost 200,000 jobs between 2001-2006 alone. 80% of their products are now manufactured in China.
- Each store costs taxpayers $1 million on average in subsidies.
- Approxinametly 80% of Walmart employees use food stamps to put food on the table.
- Walmart comes at a cost of $6.2 billion, which is paid by taxpayers in benefits that their employees need in order to suirvive.
