The Issue

Whilst it is important to deal with the morally bankrupt nature of trophy hunting by holding to account those who kill these creatures, we also need to shut this industry down. Wagging our finger at the monsters who hunt, through social media, will only get us so far. There will always be trophy hunters and there will always be people who exploit the vulnerabilities of animals for financial profit. This does not mean that the UK has to support it. We need to attack these people where it hurts - in their pockets. We need to make it impossible for any UK business to make a profit from such barbaric behaviour. We need to bring our laws in line with our morals. Many of these Safari companies are UK owned, their profits end up back in the pockets of UK business people. We need to cut off this revenue stream. There are also many trophy hunting companies which are owned by other European countries so, who knows, if we can get our government to do something then others may follow.
