YAY - Max & Keira’a Law finally announced

YAY �� it’s Finally been announced publicly that the Soft Opt Out Organ & Tissue Donation System we’ve been campaigning for since 2015 is set to be passed & come into force in 2020! 

It’ll be called Max & Keira’s Law after the donor and her recipient who made it all possible.

The best bit is the fact both families involved have advocated education in schools about donation. This will be essential at raising awareness and allowing those children to make an informed decision about whether they wish to be a donor. It’ll also make the conversation about expressing their wishes much more commonplace and therefore a little less scary.
