GOV to Update the symptoms of COVID 19 on all guidance to save lives!

The Issue

Over the past few weeks we have had many symptoms that are not listed on the NHS website but in fact have the virus. My aim is to help people to recognise that they have the virus as soon as possible to help prevent it spreading and save lives. Please sign my petition to push for more information and clearer guidelines on the virus. It has also been noted that fatigue and loss of smell and taste are key indicators that you may have the virus.

As someone who has had COVID 19 for almost 6 weeks with symptoms that are not listed on the GOV and NHS website, the only thing that seems to show accurate symptoms is the COVID 19 symptom tracker. https://covid.joinzoe.com (please contribute to this daily if you suspect you have the virus). To save lives we need CLEAR and DIRECT information to help stop the spread, flatten the curve and most of all SAVE LIVES.

Symptoms my family and I have experienced are:

Pain in the lungs when breathing deeply, or reduced breathing ability.

Sore throat (raw furry feeling down the back of the nose and throat)

Runny nose

cough

Headaches

Loss of appetite

Fatigue

Feeling of tightness around your lungs (under diaphragm and in the middle of the rib cage), upper back either side of the spine. This was a raw pain. There were two points that I felt my lungs were seeping and tried out and felt clogged up.

Loss of smell/taste

metallic taste in the mouth

diarrhoea

muscle aches and pains

confusion, disorientation and drowsiness

cold hands and feet

sore jaw and sinuses

chills and shivering

muscular shakes and twitches, shaking jaw

Gastric issues (reflux)

We found that the pain moved around our bodies from time, as though attacking us at various points. We did not have a fever though this is a symptom. Not everyone will have all of these symptoms, though they are ones that we have experienced.

My concern is that people do not realise they have the virus and don't isolate as the symptoms listed on the NHS website are not clear enough, and could lead to unintentional spread of the virus. If we know in time we could save more lives! Please sign this so that the information we are given on the virus is updated to ensure people act as soon as they feel they have the virus. There is also concern regarding the time we should isolate; if we have the moderate strain of the virus that seems to last for 4-6 weeks as apposed to 7 or 14 days we are advised of, which only seems to apply to the most mild cases. There are several points in our infection in the first 4 weeks that I felt we were contagious as the smell of an impending cold was upon our breaths.

We need to be better educated on what we should be doing instead of very loose guidelines. The sooner we act the more lives we could save. We also NEED more tests provided so that we can be sure that we have had the virus and built up an immunity.
