Help whistleblowing accountant achieve justice, stop tax evasion & protect whistleblowers
The Issue
I lost my career due to depression after blowing the whistle on my own company – a company in which I am a minority shareholder and was employed as an associate partner. I discovered tax evasion activities in the company going back over a decade, which may have costs the UK public tens of thousands of pounds or even more in tax money.
I raised this with the Company and then to the appropriate regulator. Whilst the company is still being investigated by the regulator, three years after I made the disclosure, I suffered detriment at the hands of those I blew the whistle on. I am out of work and I took the perpetrators to court but I have been told that I have no protection in the eyes of law.
I spoke up but all doors seem to be slammed on me when I claim protection. What would you do? Would you speak up too? I need your support to seek justice and to ensure the law is there to protect those who made disclosures in the public interest. The Company has avoided its responsibilities and is now seeking costs from me. I need your assistance to raise this matter with the Supreme Court so the law can be clarified to prevent companies from using loop holes that allow companies to avoid tax and dismiss employees who identify wrongdoing.
