It seems obvious that Dog's have an extreme sense of smell, far greater than humans, and indeed they are actively used in the world to search out explosives. Rather than spend fortunes on arming police at Airports and public gatherings, set up a government department to train Dogs to smell any explosive residue on clothes or luggage. The problem we now have is not about the terrorists getting through the security checks at Airports, but how to stop them entering such areas before security and detonating a device, potentially killing hundreds of innocent people. We have all seen the footage from Belgium and Paris beforehand. A terrorist pushing a luggage cart is immune to Police with guns. A trained dog at the door would detect, by way of smell, anybody entering having had contact with guns and explosives. We cannot now install security to make people queue down the street to enter a Terminal, stadium or train station. A search of the internet will justify dogs ability and use this as a deterent. A government backed campaign, even if in reality it is initially small, but with significant media coverage that the government could push for, would surely provide another hurdle to those responsible for such atrocities? Please share the petition to your friends etc and ask they do the same. It very easy to think such a tragic event would never happen to us, but the people behind this terrorism have no remorse. You are their target, each and every one of you. Every hurdle we can provide, as people that wish to live in peace, surely will help defend ourselves. I would much rather pass a dog on the entrance to an airport, than another team of security with their X-Ray machines. Terrorism is just that....to create terror. I want to at least give them another hurdle to jump in their evil quest. Please promote and share.
