There are many reasons why Non-stun slaughter should be banned with the United Kingdom ranging from religious beliefs to animal welfare.

Regardless of the reasons, it is clear that the majority of the UK population wish it to be banned. We maintain that as a democratic country, where the majority view prevails, we have the right to govern our own country and that the government must and should represent us and our views.

We are no longer willing to accept a government who does not represent the overwhelming majority and we are no longer willing to put up with a government who tells us what we can or can not do or think on this subject.

We the undersigned therefore demand that the government (who ever maybe in power) and all of the political parties listen to what those who vote for you are telling you.

We the people of the UK demand that the government (who ever is in power) holds an immediate yes/no referendum for the people to decide if non-stun slaughter & the import of the same is banned.

The current situation is intolerable and must change, we absolutely and without compromise demand nothing less than full control of our food chain.
