Prime Minister Cameron once remarked “people should be free to hunt”.  Why should people be free to shoot at innocent defenceless animals and rob them of their live?  What civilised, humane, democratic society in 2015 allows for such vile, outdated and barbarous practices as Hunting?  How on earth can, pointing a gun at an innocent defenceless animal and shooting it dead, be considered a “sport”?  On many occasions the animal doesn't always die immediately after receiving one bullet, but does many hours later as a result of internal blooding, the whole time suffering in tremendous amounts of pain and agony.   It is about time that all civilised persons in this country stand up and assign hunting to the dustbins of history where it belongs. 

It’s high time that proponents of hunting overcome their sick cruel sadistic excuse for a hobby and get a life.  There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for hunting.  Many proponents incorrectly argue that hunting is necessary to prevent numbers of certain species, example deer, from becoming too numerous.  We all know this is nothing but a poor dubious excuse used by those who take sadistic pleasure by seeing a fellow living creature die in pain.  Firstly the only species which seems to be breeding beyond capacity is the human race so maybe these aristocrats, royalty and other twisted rural communities should point a gun at themselves first and foremost.  Secondly there can be more humane and compassionate solutions to controlling numbers of species such as sterilisation programmes etc.  Moreover recognition needs to be given to the fact that the reason why many of these animals have become so numerous to begin with is because their natural predators were themselves hunted to extinction, the rural lynx is a case in point.  As Einstein said, once cannot solve a problem with the same thinking that one had when they created the problem. Instead of shooting at innocent defenceless deer, fox and rabbit, why can’t their natural predators be re-introduced back to this country example the lynx and other wolves? 

The compassion, humanity, civility and values of any race or any country can be measured by how they treat animals.  As humans we have gone completely off piste.  We have completely forgotten that we are PART OF nature, we are NOT separate from nature.  Nature has created us humans in the same way that nature has created the animal kingdom, and granted we humans are carnivorous however killing animals for food and killing animals for “sport” are too completely different things.  We have NO MORAL RIGHT to take the lives of animals away for our sick twisted pleasures.  We as a country have done so much in the field for human rights, justice and democracy and we have been a beacon to the world.  Let us also advance further and become even more sophisticated by extending human rights to animal rights and let us be pioneers to the whole world by completely banning in entirety this tudor age sport.  Once again Britain by example will lead and the world will follow.   

I call on each and everyone of you to stand with me and demand that our democratically elected government ABOLISH hunting in all it's forms, whether fox hunting, deer hunting, bird hunting etc.  Further to this there be the promulgation of strict legislation to punish all those who break this law, no matter what family or what aristocratic background they belong to.
