Scrolling through the internet I found a post where a man described how he was raped by his relative but his case went unreported just because he was a man. Often I find many such things. These cases disturb me. I am a woman and I can be assured if somebody tries to rape me I can take the help of law, but what about all the men out there? Can they do the same thing?

Take a look at the Indian law and you will find the Indian Penal Code do not recognizes men as rape victims. We have a law for women rape victims but not for men. Why? Can men not be raped just because they are the macho ones? A man can be a rapist but not a victim. Why?

Do a research on this topic and you will find the end result of most of the cases were either suicides or silence. Man is thought to be the protector. But who will protect him in case he falls in a trap? It's high time we accept the fact that men too get raped. We need a law which recognizes men as rape victims.

I want a country where both the genders can legally be empowered and that is not possible without this. Please sign this petition and let our voices be heard.
