Please severely punish the Chinese cat abuse couple in Sydney, SAVE stronger and longer
The Issue
On the evening of September 1, a netizen named Xiao K accidentally swiped an ID of "What do we eat today?" on RED. ", which has since been deactivated, posted a series of suspected cat abuse videos, targeted at Sydney's Olympic Park, all titled around the same theme: Love to hear cats scream...
The video opens with two muppet cats in a cage, all of which are full of cat screams that anyone who has owned a cat can recognize as the sound the kitten makes when it is in extreme panic. Another video shows a large glass bead in the cat's throat. Muppets are known for their gentle temper, which would not have been possible if they had not been subjected to extreme pain and threat. (I made the video live, so you can click on it.) Parts of the video are blurred out, and the cat appears to be forced by the neck to distort its face, while the cat's claws are clamped in a cage to make it scream.
Some netizens then posted the video to various groups hoping to find out who did it, and the cat's "original owners" xilanhua and his wife recognized their kitten at once. The cats were originally raised by the couple while they were living in Australia. The couple returned to Australia in March for personal reasons and found adopters for them in Sydney before returning.
The couple immediately contacted the adopters, who said that they took the cats to foster care for a week while they were skiing in June. The adopters did not know about the XHS video. And took a video of the cat at the moment to prove his innocence.
Since then, xilanhua couple and adoptive couples continue to negotiate, at this time there have been enthusiastic group friends have reported to the animal protection Society and the police. Xilanhua couple wanted to ask their friends to pick up the cat, but the adopter said they had a strong relationship with the cat, and did not give any evidence of foster care/chat records/wechat screenshots, only saying that the adopter had blocked him. They don't provide proof that they went skiing in June, and they don't answer any questions about the cat torturers.
Out of normal thinking, the couple proposed to take the cat for a medical examination, but the adopter refused, and the original owner indicated that he was willing to bear all the expenses. After several hours of negotiation, he finally relented but said he was busy and only available on September 4. The couple then arranged for their friends in Sydney to find a hospital and make an appointment for a full check-up on September 4.
Somehow, the couple ignored the arrangement and took the cat for a $68 check-up on the afternoon of September 3, a routine $68 check-up that usually involves looking at the ears to see if there were any abnormalities in appearance or body temperature. There is not even an X-ray, and the adopters have been claiming how much they love these two kittens. When you see the video of a glass bead in your cat's throat, do you worry if there is something abnormal in her stomach? Don't you want an X-ray?
Now, based on the various anomalies/blame shifting attitudes of the adoptive couple:
1. Do not give any information about the "foster", including the wechat number of the so-called foster and the screenshots of the CHAT records of the foster wechat
2. Do not give any information about skiing in June
3. He said that he was in a normal state when he picked up the cat after skiing and didn't see any abnormality. A normal owner wouldn't be able to tell when their hairy kid was hurt?
4. After being told that two cats were suspected of being abused, their first reaction was not to identify the abuser or concern for the cats' health, but to take a video of the cats walking to prove that "the cats are doing fine."
5. In the video, which they call "the cats are fine now", the two cats are noticeably thinner than the previous photos of the cats provided by the Couple, given that it is winter in Australia, which should be the season when cats have the most hair and look the fattest. And in the video the cat is yawning and you can see an unusual red mark on its tongue. Is that how you guys love cats?
6. At first, they refused to give the cat a physical checkup. Finally, they managed to arrange a time, but the adopters took the cat for a routine checkup worth $68. What are you afraid of?
7. Lying, saying that he told the vet carefully before the examination that the cat was suspected to have been abused and swallowed glass beads, asking the doctor to check it carefully. After the west blue flower couple's friend went to the hospital to verify, the vet didn't even see those videos
8. First he said that the foster carer was his friend, then he said that the foster carer had returned to China, and then he said that the foster carer had blocked his wechat and his friend had no name? No phone?
9. Shows no intention or action to find the cat abuser
So now, based on all of this, it is reasonable to suspect that there is no such thing as a "foster". If there's a foster, why protect him so much? Was it all staged by the adoptive couple?
Then I got in touch with the Cilantro couple, and here's their appeal: They want to adopt
1. Hand over two cats for a thorough physical examination
3. Find the cat abuser to prevent other cats from being killed in the future
See here you should also have their own judgment, I hope you can move your finger, help forward out to let more people know this matter, thank you
