I guess for the voters of NSW it matters very little if you are concerned about animal welfare which of the major parties you vote for. I received a reply to my correspondence to the new Minister for Agriculture and the reply was just as I have experienced over the last 8 years that I have been campaigning for change!
I have emailed the Minister again (see below) but this will probably be a waste of time. Hence I feel that I have no other option left but to complain to NSW ICAC (Independent Commission against Corruption).
The photo shows one of the poor unfortunates that suffered so much at Camp Kitty when the RSPCA NSW would just say `there are no welfare issues'.
Dear Tara
I recently emailed you regarding the RSPCA NSW and you asked the Deputy Director General of Biosecurity and Food Safety to respond to my correspondence.
I have had similar responses from all the Ministers of Agriculture for the last 8 years and the response has been the same, that they will not investigate. I had expected a much better response from a new Labor Government. With the recent publicity over the corruption investigations over the last Premier I had expected a much more rigorous approach to any hint of corruption. I ask that you familiarise yourself with the details of this matter and it may be important that you investigate the activities of the Dept of Primary Industries which have occurred over the last 8 years or so. This is because of all the public funds that are given to the RSPCA and not to allow any public scrutiny is in my opinion corrupt.
As you are responsible for the activities of DPI please do not just depend on their responses, but investigate!
Also could I ask that the correspondence policy is adhered to and that I do not have to repeat asking for a response? This has happened to me many times in the past.
I would ask that you keep the Premier informed.
Regards,
Keith Climpson
ps It seems that because they just keep repeating their replies the DPI have not even got my new correspondence address correct!
