Hi after taking our beloved pet dog to the local vets on Monday with a mass on his hind paw we was quoted £400 to have the op to remove the tumour including recovery pack so we booked him to have his op on Friday 16th July 2021 my wife told to take him in at 850am before she had left the estimated bill had jumped to between £450/£500 for the same as we was told on Monday at £400. The vets did the op we had a call to pick him up and then received a bill for just over £576 a jump of almost 50%. Now I would do anything to help my poor boy but unfortunately I am not able to work due to disability...... I did work until unfortunately taking ill so we have limited funds and cannot get any help from pdsa etc. All I am asking and petitioning for is fair vets fees and more transparent quotes. A lot of owners in my position would have not been able to treat thier pet these vets should not be allowed to do this we are at the end of the day talking about animal welfare. Thankfully my boy has had his op and is now recovering well at home. Thankyou for reading
