Many people may have seen the recent video of the group of ducklings that fell down the drain. I am aware that it is understood that the man that filmed these events later rescued all of these ducklings, however this should never had to have happened in the first place. 

Wildlife came before our new urbanised culture did, so we should make our culture more suitable for the world they evolved to. I think a good start would be to alter the designs of drains - this wouldn't affect the human population the greatest amount, however could save countless animal lives over the course of a year, or even just a few months of spring when young animals are about. 

I hope you'll find the care in your heart to believe the same as me - innocent animals don't deserve to lose their lives just because they're not adapted to having us around.
