Senseless and cruel mutilations, such as the docking of tails and posting (cutting and taping a dog’s ears to make them stand up) are illegal to perform in the UK, but it is not illegal to import a dog from countries that still allow these barbaric practices. Some people think it looks nice, but can anyone really justify causing a puppy such  pain just for fashion? Can theybe sure that the operation is done under anaesthetic? Imagine your own ears sliced in half then glued to your head for several months. 

Please sign and spread the word of this petition to help encourage other countries to end animal abuse. There are plenty of reputable dog breeders in this country committed to animal welfare. If you have to import an animal from abroad simply because we’re not cruel enough here to create the look you want, how much do you really care about that dog’s welfare?
