A 76-year-old woman was killed at her home in Wandal, Queensland by her 37-year-old son on February 17 of this year.

The man killed himself. She is the 13th Australian woman killed this year.

Last year we lost 79 women and 106 were killed in 2024.

It's taken some time to get the confirmation I needed to add her to the femicide toll.
