North Carolina teachers are incredibly underpaid, North Carolina is ranked 41st in teacher pay in America. In 2015, More than 1,000 teachers quit in Wake County alone. Teacher are currently paid $47,000 which is low comparing to New York's salary of $77,000. Government officials make around $400,000 and that is around 10 times the amount teachers are paid. 

Teachers have all the right of leaving our state and moving somewhere else where the pay is higher. We of North Carolina do not want to lose our teachers, they're the ones to teach the next generation to become successful.
