Petition to keep Tea Beside the Sea from being shut down in favour of a Restaurant.

You may know that tea shop, ‘Tea Beside the Sea’ took over the colonnade in Bexhill three years ago. During that time they have worked hard rejuvenating the area, putting on music and working their socks off. A decision is being made as to whether their lease is renewed or if the council (as certain officers would like) seek a restaurant operator to run the site as a high class restaurant. We, the undersigned, would like to see the Colonnades site remain as it is with Tea Beside the Sea here instead of making way for a restaurant. The tea shop is fast becoming a thriving hub for the community and we would not like to lose it.
