Rossendale Borough Council should not introduce Car Parking charges for Rawtenstall which would have a devastating effect on the local economy deterring shoppers and tourists hurting small businesses and the many people who work in the town including charity volunteers.

Neither should Rossendale Borough Council give our existing Kay Street Car Park to Transdev for a designated Park and Ride for its X43 Manchester service. A Park and Ride should be located out of the town centre and not take up precious car parking spaces in the centre of town.
