We have won at Calshot! Over the weekend, we have been giving out letters to local residents telling them that we have kept the St. George's Hall polling station open - to be ratified tonight at the Full Council meeting of New Forest District Council.
The review of polling stations was not necessary, said Council officers.
It was politically driven.
We spoke at New Forest District Council Cabinet to defend polling stations and community facilities. More details are on our website here:

Tonight our MP Candidate Andrew Pope and Labour activist Denise Wyatt will be speaking again at the Council, to present this petition and speak to defend community facilities. Do come along! The General Purposes and Licensing Committee is at 1700 at Appletree Court, Lyndhurst, and Full Council is at 1830 hours.
It is only Labour that has listened and acted on residents' concerns.
