We the undersigned demand a pedestrian crossing is installed outside of Hilltop Primary Academy in Edlington which is located on Edlington Lane with the junction of Hillside Drive.  During school times this road is heavily congested on both sides of the busiest road in Edlington and often does not have the cover of a Lollipop Person.  The Hilltop Parents and Tots Group, Edlington Town Council and numerous other people from the community have been demanding this for generations, with the Hilltop Parents and Tots Group campaign literally falling of deaf ears.  We are not prepared to wait for 1 single child or pedestrian to be injured before action is taken. 

Edlington and Warmsworth First Group have now provided practical support to the Hilltop Parents and Tots Group as well as other local campaigners to raise the profile of this cause.

Please sign this petition to show Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and our Elected Mayor Ros Jones that this is a matter that our community feels very strongly about and that we will not stop campaigning to get this crossing and to make this road safe for our children and other local people who use the Hilltop Primary Academy and Helping Hands Community Centre.
