John Lilly has shown nepotism and has demonstrated partial treatment and discriminatory conduct towards student athletes at Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV. There are many known facts to support this claim. Eleven years ago he was involved in an OCR/federal civil rights investigation for discrimination. He has violated the personnel policy of the Raleigh County Board of Education- Code C.1.3.He has intimidated his subordinates and created a hostile work environment which made it difficult for his assistant coaches to do their jobs. He has withheld college letters and awards from certain players. He has also displayed poor sportsmanship by instigating fights with opposing coaches and players which in turn has endangered the athletes under his supervision.  He was removed from the athletic director position at WWHS for misallocation of monies to appropriate sports programs. He is a poor mentor and role model for young student athletes and is not representative of the proud history and tradition of our school.
