As of today, March 19th 2021, The California Department of Public Health now recognizes Sideline Cheer as a moderate-contact sport. Thank you so much for supporting this petition! We couldn't have done it without everyone who signed, shared, and spoke up! To all the parents, coaches, and cheerleaders, keep fighting for our sport. We are athletes of one of the most physically demanding and dangerous sports, and we deserved to be recognized as such! If anything, this community has shown that we are resilient and ready to improve cheerleading all across California.
