I have been to Trader's Village in San Antonio, Texas three times in two years and have had fun looking at all the things people sell there, even the ries are a must for kids and adults. However, there is a dark side to this, the Petting Zoo. It is a heart breaking area, where animals shouldn't be there in the first place, as there is enough fun going on for all ages; rides, music, food, you name it. It was brought to my attention, this last time I visited, that there were two very very young piglets, almost newborn by themselves, no caregiver on sight and they were about to close the Village, thus, leaving them on their own in the cold, where they have no bed or shelter. Beside these animals, there were also other pigs, already shaking cold, as the sun was starting to set in the evening.

As I walked out with my baby in my arms, I just couldn't stand the idea of leaving such vulnerable creatures to sleep without a bed, a source of heat; unprotected.

I believe we, as humans,  we should not forget about the most innocent beings on Earth. I kindly ask our governors not to ignore this unnecessary suffering these animals are going through on a daily basis, [especially as temperatures have started to drop], and remove this "entertainment" from Trader's Village and to take these animals to a sanctuary where they can recover from the physical and psychological harm and be free.
