GDF Suez, a foreign-owned global multinational energy corporation, wants to build a large-scale renewable energy project (i.e. Wind Turbines) in Essex, located in Southwestern Ontario.  Essex is the ninth most densely populated area in Southwestern Ontario and already has it's share of Wind Turbines. This project divides the community by pitting landowners, who stand to profit from the turbines against homeowners who want to protect their health, quality of life, property values and the future of the area.

Please send a strong message to Essex Town Council and ask them to join ninety (90) other communities in Ontario and pass a resolution declaring Essex as an 'Unwilling Host'. Most of the areas on this list are less densely populated than Essex and have less at stake.
