PLEASE GRANT CLEMENCY FOR BOBBY SUGGS! A non-violent offender sentenced to LIFE in 2001
The Issue
When I was 7 years old, my father Bobby Suggs was sentenced to LIFE in federal prison for a non-violent crime that has had a HUGE impact on my life & the life of my family. My father was not only a role model for me, but to family, friends & the community as well. He has been incarcerated since 2001 for a non-violent crime. Since being incarcerated, he has been a model citizen with excellent behavior, even receiving a Life Connection Program Certificate. He has mentored inmates around him while also encouraging others to NOT go down the wrong path.
I am 27 years old now with a 5 year old son & my father has not been able to be apart of not only our lives but the lives of his entire family. If he is granted clemency, I know my father will have a positive impact on our community & possibly the world! He can teach young black men how to “break the cycle” & choose a different path.
Too often, non-violent offenders receive longer jail time than violent offenders. THIS HAS TO CHANGE! Everyone deserves a second chance. I feel that my father has served enough time & is deserving of clemency. PLEASE HELP ME REACH DONALD TRUMP, THE WHITE HOUSE & ANYONE THAT CAN BE OF ASSISTANCE.
