The Leader of the Council has agreed to review the new four‑phase traffic light arrangement at the junction of Tebourba Way and Romsey Road following my letter raising concerns about the congestion and delays it is causing.
He committed to a two‑week review period, after which a decision would be taken. That two‑week period ends this week, and I have now written to him again to reiterate my concerns, to ask that the recent traffic‑light changes be reversed, and to call for proper investment in the junction to improve safety while keeping traffic moving.
I have been contacted by many residents who have described the impact these delays are having on them, as well as by people living nearby who are affected by tailbacks, congestion, and road‑safety issues on surrounding roads.
If you have concerns that you would like me to put directly to the Leader of the Council before a decision is made in the coming days, please do get in touch - councillor.j.moulton@southampton.gov.uk
We are also very close to reaching 500 signatures on the petition, so please continue sharing it with friends, family and colleagues to give the campaign a final push.
