Have Fr. Jack Hackett declared a Saint.

We hold that in comparison to the deeds of mother Teresa and in the recent light of her Canonisation, it would truly be a miscarriage of justice to let the deeds of Fr. Jack Hackett, who has, for quite a considerable length of time been of service to his parish, and who is also regarded as a pinnacle character in Irish culture, go disregarded and unrewarded.
Some of his good work and reputation can be atributed to; a wedding he did in Athlone which was most certainly memorable to all who were there. He stood up to Bishop Len Brennan when he unjustly tried to penalise Jack's colleagues Fr. Ted Crilly and Fr. Dougal McGuire. In his days prior to moving to Craggy Island, Jack was also a respected authority in Catholic schools across Ireland.
It is upon this basis that we propose that Fr.Jack Hackett should be made a saint forthwith.
