The reason for this petition is to change the current NFL overtime rule that ends games in a tie. Changing this rule will eliminate the possibility of any given game ending in a tie. Football is a game for the fans and the fans do not want ties. Luckily, we have a rule change suggestion by the fans and for the fans.

Our proposed solution is a Field Goal Duel!

How it works: If at the end of overtime there is a tie, both teams will line up for a field goal starting at the 30 yard line. The first team to miss a field goal loses. If both teams make their field goal, the ball will be moved back 5 years. This will continue until one team misses. If both teams miss, each team will re-attempt their field goal from the current spot until one team misses.

A field goal duel is a foolproof overtime system to completely eradicate ties from the game of football. Fans, players, coaches, and everyone involved will benefit from this rule change.
