Our generation was raised with the mindset of avoiding this substance at all costs. Little did we know that most of what we think about marijuana is unfounded. The only thing that is lacking is human discipline.

It has also been shown to be able to treat mental disorders. It can help people avoid Alzheimer’s disease. An extract called CBD(cannabidiol) which contains very little amounts of the component which causes a person to become “high”. Strains if marijuana which are CBD dominant have been shown to have little effects to the patient’s consciousness. It has also been shown to be able to relieve insomnia, anxiety, spasticity and even life threatening disorders like epilepsy. It can also be used to relieve chronic pain and has the benefit of not being as addictive as opioids. It is also impossible to overdose on cannabis. It can also relieve any type of nerve pain in general.

            In conclusion, the pros of using marijuana for medical use far outweighs its cons. Legalizing it for use in medicine could help countless people in their struggle with various diseases and disorders. It has been proven to be capable of doing so much and with more research and development, who knows what more we can learn from it? Think of all the people out there right now who are suffering just because they can’t use marijuana to treat themselves. Their lives could be so much easier if only its use in medicine were legal.
