Since November 2019, Red Dead Online players on PC have had not only their gaming experience, but their personal data and privacy breached and manipulated by those who purchase and use Mod Menus on the PC version of Red Dead Online.

There are various creators and versions of these Mod Menus, most of whom charge a premium fee for the Mod Menu Program to be downloaded and used. Whilst some players who use these Mod Menus for their own personal gain or enjoyment, many users of these Mod Menus target other players to ruin their gaming experience and to a greater extent, content creators who rely on the ability to showcase Red Dead Online as a manner of employment and livelihood.

These Mod Menus have the ability to:
- Show and leak a Player's IP Address and their Internet Service Provider
- Show and leak a Player's Region, Country and City
- Take complete control of another player's character
- Use and imitate another player's Name and Rockstar ID
- Teleport all players to one location and ruin their gaming experience
- Cheat and give themselves an unfair advantage in Competitive multi-player modes
- Spoof names that breach Rockstar TOS, including names that contain hate speech

As of December 1st 2020, Rockstar Games released Red Dead Online as a standalone product. Many players who own this version of Red Dead Online cannot play the game for more than a couple of minutes before having their game experience ruined. Not only does this break Consumer Law in many countries, but it renders many of Rockstar's customers in a situation where they paid for a product that they cannot use.

Furthermore, how long will Rockstar Games allow a 3rd party to illegitimately profit from their product, while simultaneously preventing Rockstar's customers from purchasing further microtransactions?

We are making a call to arms for the Red Dead Online community and the Rockstar Games community to put pressure on Rockstar Games to take action against these Mod Menus and those who create them.

Rockstar Games, allow your customers to enjoy your product without repercussion. Stop these Mod Menus before they make way to the Consoles. Prevent your Customers from having their personal privacy and security breached! Allow the Red Dead Community to thrive in peace! Give your customers the playing experience they paid for.

End these Mod Menus, once and for all!
