After a mistake made by video game company Rockstar Games many players of their game Grand Theft Auto Five are saddened over the loss of their hard earned progress from many years of work. Rockstar developers made a mistake leading to a “glitch“ allowing players to make loads of in game money fast. Rockstar decided to reset the GTA V accounts of those who abused this mistake (made by Rockstar) and even those who didn’t. Many people used this “glitch” to make money that would have otherwise taken them months if not years of endless playing or they would have had to pay for the in game money that is extremely over priced which many people do not have the time or money for. The Grand Theft Auto Five community lost accounts that many of them have worked on for years. With this petition we would like to let Rockstar know that their community does not appreciate their greediness and we will not accept these resets. We would like Rockstar to undo these account resets as they are going to lose many customers if they do not. Especially during a global pandemic where many people are struggling financially, emotionally and physically, many people have now lost their accounts in a game that may have distracted them from these tough situations the world is throwing at them.
