As the players know, Grand Theft Auto Online has been getting many updates since it came out. This is not a bad thing, I'm not against this and that's not what I mean. I see that Rockstar is trying to even online mode with the story mode (adding free mode events just like the story mode, etc.)

But it is too obvious that the all thre protagonists' pasts have been left wide open in order to have a story mode dlc possibility in the future. And I think this future has come, it's been 2 years since the game came out so if they want to make a dlc for the story mode they should at least be working on it. The game's characters only talk about their pasts in the story and their pasts are very exciting (Frankin stealing cigarettes with JB, Michael and Trevor robbing places, etc.)

Those talks are what makes the possibilities open for a story mode dlc about the past and I think Rockstar Games did this intentionally. Now if they already created this opportunity for themselves they should be working on a story mode dlc already, right? So why do I care? Because Rockstar Games currently said that their online mode got much more popular than how much they expected it to be and ALL OF THEIR KEY MEMBERS are still working on online to make online experience even better.

It's such a shame if a story mode dlc was in development and got dropped after the devs realized how popular online got. I'm not against online, I play online mode too but I feel like the story mode of this game is what made this game the thing it is today.

And it's not just the online mode that got so popular, the franchise and the game got popular overall. Millions of people bought this game to play it on the day it came out and online didn't even exist at the time. People are playing online because Rockstar only cares about online right now. If they cared about story mode, I think people would start playing story mode again. So I think Rockstar Games should start developing a story mode dlc if they never started developing, or pick up the development from where they left it off if they cancelled it. This game needs a story mode dlc to be released!
