Fishing in GTA Online

Fishing in GTA Online
The Issue
Imagine being a young strapping lad looking forward to playing that wonderful game developed by your favorite video game studio, Rockstar Games. You've just installed your fresh new copy of Grand Theft Auto 5 and are excited to delve into the online multiplayer to show off your brand new car to your friends after hours of grinding that criminal lifestyle. After all is said and done your friends have to get off but you my good friend want to play some more. So you get in your Zentorno and you drive on down to Venice Beach. However, you aren't here to lift some weights or go on a nice relaxing bike ride across the shimmering sand. You came here for a purpose and the best place to achieve that is on Del Perro Pier. On your way down the boardwalk you are just brimming with excitement to do what you came here to do. You've fantasized about the feel of the rod in your hands and the hot sun beating down on your brow. The feel of the ocean breeze on your face and the smell of salt water filling your nose. After a quick glance around you realize something is wrong. You notice that there is no rod rental place. How can this be you question. You tell yourself that there must be some sort of mistake or maybe you just didn't look well enough. Maybe they just have a website on the in game phone that allows you to rent rods or purchase them. But alas, to no avail your search comes up empty. Upon further searching the answer dawns on you. The wonderful game of Grand Theft Auto Online does not have fishing. The side activity in video games that you spent hundreds of hours during your childhood doing. It dawns on you that you won't be able to experience the joy of waiting for the fish to bite or the satisfaction of catching a big one. Drearily you go back to mindlessly driving your car around Los Santos and resume to the life of being killed endlessly by random players.
Not very fun sounding is it, a life without fishing. Therefore, I'd like to petition the exciting activity that's fun for all ages, fishing, be added to Grand Theft Auto Online. The rewards could range from actual in game cash or maybe even new fishing rods or other goodies. Challenges could be held for catching the largest fish or catching the most. A fishing activity would most definitely be an amazing edition to the already multitude of things to do in the game.
