Each year, summer fireworks negatively affect  countless families’ lives. The loud noises cause many family pets to get scared and run away. Many war veterans have PTSD that can be triggered by the sound of fireworks as well. They can also negatively affect the wild animals in the area.

Fortunately, there is a solution to this problem. There are silent, or quiet fireworks that can be used instead of traditional fireworks. Silent firework displays have been becoming more common over the past several years. They look visually the same as traditional fireworks without the loud bang. In fact, silent fireworks can even be more colorful than traditional fireworks. 

If we stop the use of all non-silent fireworks, everyone in our community will be able to enjoy them without the negative impacts.
