COMING SOON TO ROCKINGHAM.... A BLUE TREE! ��

Well done to the brave community groups and families who worked so hard to make a difference with mental wellbeing awareness in our Community via the Blue Tree Project!
All 11 Councillors voted unanimously for Deputy Mayor Deb Hamblin's Alternate Motion at tonight's Council Meeting.

Specifically the Alternate Motion asked That Council:
1. SUPPORTS the concept and development of a public art project to raise awareness of mental health in the City of Rockingham.
2. DIRECTS the CEO in consultation with resident groups and mental health organisations to identify one tree appropriately located within the City to be painted blue.
Cr Whitfield commented that the Blue Tree Project should be given a high priority given the length of time already undertaken.
