Just over a year ago, the council surveyed residents (via survey monkey, online) to see if an enclosed dog park was needed and what sort of facilities would be useful there. Since then, nothing has been heard despite numerous questions to them on their facebook page. 
The nearest enclosed parks are in Kwinana or the new one in Cockburn. The Cockburn one is unsuitable for smaller dogs as they can (and do) walk through the fences as the railings are too far apart.
Rockingham is a large city and has a very large canine population. Many of us cannot walk our dogs off leash for safety reasons, (many parks are near roads and dogs don't always come when they're called). A safe, lit, enclosed park would meet the needs of thousands of residents in the area who want to exercise and socialise their dogs, in a safe space. Thank you.
