Fresh air, socialization, off-leash time, opportunities for pet owners to connect and build community . . . Dog parks offer ample benefits to our canine critters and their humans.

In the greater Rockford area, most dog parks are at the far margins of town. While these offer ample play space, more central dog runs are needed. Join in petitioning the Rockford Park District to add more public spaces for residents and their pets. Current fees for dog park licenses could be reinvested in creating these community areas, at Alpine Meadows Park and beyond.
