In response to the recent tragedy where Zane, a K-9 Officer was neglectfully left in a hot car by his partner, resulting in his death, I ask that the governing individuals associated with this unfortunate event, address the crime that has been committed and ensure the implementation of policies to avoid these irresponsible practices in the future.

The lack of consideration shown to this dedicated animal by his own partner, Cpl. Jerahmy Williams, is deeply disappointing and calls for a severe punishment.

Police K-9s and all working animals are a valuable part of our community. They are respected and valued nationwide for the services they provide unconditionally.

Zane deserves justice and the individual who caused his death deserves to be punished.
