Jim Moses started this petition to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Board Members

Despite ostensibly eschewing infamously tyrannical Rolling Stone founder Jan Wenner's elitist sensibilities, the choices for 2020 class induction haven't ever been more witness to LUDICROUSLY disingenuous equivocating, emotionally ignorant appeals to racial 'diversity', and typical tone-deafness of late than this year, most exemplified by an egregious, unforgivable failure to opt for Todd Rundgren, greater consideration of his ACCOMPLISHED, extremely innovative, influential half-century career over the late Christopher 'The Notorious B.I.G.' Wallace's fraction of an output (in NO way is being fiercely opposed to it, passing judgment upon him as a human being) as well as TOP nominees Dave Matthews Band, Pat Benatar and Soundgarden (Doobie Brothers & Depeche Mode excepted, latter at the sizable expense of Judas Priest)  rendering of fan participation in voting, virtually MEANINGLESS - dictating inductees by FAR less than meritorious measures, failing to recognize what truly constitutes 'rock (& roll)' - and DOESN'T, most notably the genres known as 'rap', 'hip-hop'.

My petition cannot LEGITIMATELY be construed as at all racist; indeed, I've consistently voted for such similarly (to Wallace's) lower-tallying African-American acts as [The] Spinners, Yvette Marie 'Chaka Khan' Stevens, and am absolutely disgusted that others worthy like The Commodores, Kool & The Gang, Equals, Dramatics, Eddie Kendricks, even Stylistics and Delfonics (somehow, Thom Bell & Linda Creed MUST acquire some Hall Of Fame recognition; among music history's BEST, most affecting songwriters) have yet to be even nominated. We've suffered Wenner's steadfastly uninformed biases for decades against FINALLY-inducted acts such as Chicago, KISS, Rush, Yes, The Moody Blues, Electric Light Orchestra, Journey but especially, one NOT so honored, The Monkees - despite their CONSIDERABLE cultural effect and innovation (particularly Michael Nesmith's) while also from a standpoint of quality impact, progressive godfathers Procol Harum, early (1964) female rocker Suzi Quatro (who was a pronounced inspiration for the now-inducted Joan Jett, most women performing R & R since) Kate Bush, Peter Frampton, Glen Campbell, John Denver, Diana Ross (without whose contributions to the Supremes, solo endeavors there would likely be NO Madonna, no Janet Jackson, NO Whitney Houston, no inevitable nominee 'Bey') - but Sykes has, PREDICTABLY, demonstrated himself to be still more oblivious than Wenner.....

.....finally, if the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame wants to CONTINUE being viewed as a viable arbiter of accomplishment/s associated with its name, it should be entirely apparent from an accelerating number of recording artist passings and severely-diminished potential nominees commencing with 2000 eligibility, that time is RAPIDLY running out to honor those noted above (especially where personal performing's concerned) as well as MANY others (inaugural nominees Thin Lizzy, Motorhead; Badfinger, Olivia Newton-John, Seal, Paul Revere & The Raiders, Alan Parsons Project, Jethro Tull, Warren Zevon, Big Star, The Guess Who, Three Dog Night, Grass Roots, Dan Fogelberg, Duran Duran, Kansas, Tommy James & The Shondells - to name but JUST a few, while Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos & Elliott Smith need to be part of next year's) - therefore, it's utterly imperative that the number of actual inductees (presented for fan consideration, if meaning IS effectively restored to that instrument) be increased to EIGHT, even 10 (with 20 rock & roll artists nominated, respectively.....)
