Induct The Cure into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
I would like to have the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame consider adding The Cure as an inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Cure have produced an incredible catalog of work, sold millions of records, performed for millions of people, have influenced other musicians and entertained millions of fans worldwide.
The Cure began in 1976 and one only need take a look at their discography to know that they have an immense and varied catalog of work. The band has sold millions of records and received awards for their music. They have produced several hit songs, also.
As for performing, they have been performing live since the beginning and are currently on a world tour with most dates selling out with little to no promotion of the tour, which says something about how much fans still love them and how relevant they continue to be! People are astounded at how great the band sounds 40 years later! A typical show for them consists of at least 30 songs played with performance time of three plus hours!
I am sure I am not alone in saying that The Cure’s music has provided the soundtrack to my life and helped me through both low and high points. The songwriting and the sound of The Cure is completely original. No other band sounds like them and if they do, it is because The Cure influenced them! Musicians and bands such as Interpol and Smashing Pumpkins (just to name a couple) have been influenced by The Cure.
I speak as one devoted fan in Florida on behalf of millions of fans worldwide when I say that The Cure deserve to be recognized for their contribution to music by being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
