Community Petition Requesting Preventative Action to Protect Rochester Students

We, the undersigned parents, guardians, and concerned members of the Rochester community, respectfully call for immediate preventative action to ensure the continued safety of students connected to the Rochester City School District.

Community concerns have been raised regarding interactions involving Kevin Lockhart in proximity to students and school-related spaces. While we recognize that all matters deserve appropriate review and due process, the safety and well-being of children must remain the highest priority.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are formally requesting that Rochester City School District officials and appropriate authorities:

• Conduct a thorough review of all documented concerns and reports
• Implement precautionary safety measures while any review is ongoing
• Restrict Kevin Lockhart’s access to school property and school-sponsored events pending the outcome of any review
• Communicate clearly with families about the steps being taken to safeguard students

This petition does not seek to prejudge or replace due process. Rather, it reflects a collective community belief that when credible safety concerns arise, preventative measures are both reasonable and necessary.

Our children deserve environments where families feel secure and confident in their protection.

We urge school officials and relevant authorities to act swiftly, responsibly, and transparently in the interest of student safety.

Kevin will benefit from a full MH evaluation. We don't feel safe with him in our community.
