Roblox's "Search by genre" was a great way to find new games from new creators. Now that the function is gone for more than an year, it has become really hard to self-promote a game and we don't want to see the same games that have been played billions of times (Jailbreak, MeepCity, etc.) I'm not saying that these games aren't great, but with algorithm like that, I think they've had their share of playtime. Some might say that removing the function is a great way to stop the bots, or It's too confusing for new players. I think that is not true. There will always be bots, with or without this function. We don't need the whole "Steam" search by genre system where you have thousands upon thousands of genres you can choose from, we only need the basic main search by genre system like before. If this function was removed because of bots, then, that was a really below average way dealing with bots, because there are even more than before, for example : If a person steals a whole obby place and types obby hundred times in the games description, It will appear on the top when you search for an obby. And if that was the problem that wouldn't even a problem at all, but when the same obby was stolen and reposted hundreds of times by the same person with the same title and a different picture it gets more than infuriating.
       My point is, with mainstream games that instantly appear on the recommended, top rated, top earning (there's literally no difference) games section defeat any future competition that might appear with newer games if the creators decided not to pay for advertisement. And It's way easier to search for a game when you know what the game is going to be all about. I don't know how far this petition will go or will it be noticed, but at least there will be a message for someone. It might be a message for me, you, or perhaps, the Roblox Corporation.
