New ROBLOX Forums [CLOSED]

The Issue

Since the removal of the ROBLOX Forums in late 2017, a large quantity of the community was left without a place to kill time. The forums were a place for us to communicate with the staff, meet other community members, arrange hangouts on ROBLOX, play games together, and to just simply have some fun with friends. Although you may say that it is still a place to have fun with friends and congregate, the forums were special. A large chunk of the community posted every day on these forums. For some of those people it was a way to meet new friends, share their creations, and suggest ideas. The forums consisted if mostly (but not all) players ages 12+ who felt burnt out because of the games page being the same year in and year out. The forums also gave players of all ages a voice. Whether that voice would be suggestions to new updates and features, or a new event for the community to enjoy. Yes, the ROBLOX forums were removed because people decided to abuse them and talk about sensitive and sometimes political topics. You'd be right to think that bringing the forum boards back would start "pandemonium" with, for instance, spam bots or "raids". But honestly that doesn't mean that the community can't have a place where their voices can be heard, where ideas can be shared, and where friends can be made. It also certainly does not mean we can't have a forum that is safe for younger players looking to explore the community without being exposed to the supposed "inappropriate content" that the old forums were sometimes known for. Whether that be having age requirements in order to access these forums, or having specific sub-forums in place, I'm not sure. That's for you guys at ROBLOX to decide. After the forums were removed, ROBLOX shared this quote with us: "This coming year, we'll be investigating options to re-build forums that better serve you, our community, and our goals in providing a safe and constructive environment." It's 2019 and we're still waiting on any word on that. The Dev Forums for example are a great way for developers and creators on this platform to share their ideas, but it doesn't seem as suitable for us who aren't developing a game. We're just looking for a place to socialize, share, and have fun..especially for us who aren't concentrated on making games. To the forumers, ROBLOX isn't just some sort of game development platform. It's also not just a game that we play. It is a community. Although our community may seem odd or too "toxic" to newer players, it's still a community. A community that was built off of this forum. The forums were around for a very long time, and although they weren't the best in your eye, there can still be a way for us to have a new  forum without all of the "unsafe" and "nonconstructive" elements.
