“Death rates, which lag daily new cases, are up. The county is now averaging 5-10 confirmed deaths from the virus per day, she said. Last week Kasirye had reported about 4-5 new deaths per day.

The most recent report from hospitals was 603 cases of COVID-19, including 102 cases at intensive care units and 24 pediatric hospitalizations, Kasirye said. That’s slightly changed from last week when 629 people were hospitalized, including 98 in the intensive care unit.

Kasirye said the county was working with correctional health officials on dealing with what has become a widening outbreak in the jails. There were 248 cases of COVID-19 at the main facility in downtown Sacramento and 339 at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, Kasirye said.”

Keep in mind, all this is going on while your expected to go to school on February 7th, 2022. Thank President Robert Nelsen for this outcome.
