Petition updateKeep Sacramento State Virtual for the Spring 2022 Semester.

Dr. Olivia Kasirye Protects Profits over Lives

John SmithCA, United States
Feb 2, 2022

“All public boards, councils, commissions, and other similar bodies shall suspend in-person public meetings and conduct all meetings virtually.“

However, Dr. Kasirye does not include Schools/Universities in this order. How can that be? Surely public boards, councils, and commissions are smaller than a college class? College classes average around 35 students per class. There will be 21,000+ students attending the Spring semester in-person, most don’t wear masks. Classrooms are often shared, they are not disinfected in between classes either. It’s a perfect storm for a Covid outbreak.

The University still believes attending in-person is a viable option. Many professors are unsure and have opted to stay virtual another week. Call the presidents office and demand we go online for the Spring 2022 semester!
